About the Retreat.
Let 2025 be the year you dedicate to yourself. Rising cortisol levels, triggered nervous systems, a tired mind. They’re things we’re learning to leave behind. We invite you to join us in southwest France this June to experience the tranquilities of life.
At this special retreat, we will take time to reconnect with ourselves and the surrounding nature by practicing daily rituals such as grounding, meditation and forest bathing in the heart of the forest of Château de Cadrès. Discover more about the practice of mindfulness and how nature naturally heals us.
We don’t force a packed schedule; allow yourself time to simply relax in the peaceful surroundings and in the company of others.

The Wellness.
Your retreat will be hosted by founder of The Glowin’ Retreat, Harriet Cherry.
A 350hr yoga and meditation teacher, Harriet will guide you throughout the daily rituals, including yoga, grounding and meditation, practiced throughout the six days of the retreat.
A lover of movement, her sessions allow you to fully connect your body and breath, finding a sense of meditation in motion by drawing awareness to the body’s senses. She knows how to adapt to the class, and connects with each person individually so that you can get the most out of your practice. During this escape, you will be guided through a variety of meditation & relaxation sessions to help you relax & draw further awareness to mind and body whereby you will step out into the forest to experience barefoot grounding, forest-bathing & breathwork.
On your retreat, you will have an individual session with Harriet, where you can discuss your lifestyle and discover a more personal practice, whether it be incorporating targeted stretches/movements or discovering ways to ‘slow-down.’ You can discuss potential results and how you can journey further with your personalised practice when you return home.

In the morning ~

Stepping Beyond.
During your retreat with us, we will take the opportunity to step beyond the château walls and discover a hidden treasure in the Lot-et-Garonne.
A place that is encriched with French culture and history, we will experience Botanical Gardens that even Monet himself frequented.
We don’t want to give too much away to keep the excitement, but, we can tell you that we’ve organised the hassle of travel and entrance fees so that you can so that you can sit back and relax!



The Sanctuary.
Sitting on a hill, Château de Cadrès overlooks the valley of the Lot-et-Garonne. This hidden gem is set within 10 hectares of private parkland & forest, harnessing the tranquility required for an escape from the modern rush so that you can take a moment to breathe.
Cadrès has been restored to its former glory, highlighting its unique architecture, and creating a soothing environment with its timeless design. A stunning studio overlooks the sequoia trees, growing beyond the South Terrace, where you can practice yoga and meditation twice a day.
Step out upon the terraces encircling Cadrès, and surround yourself with the breathtaking views of the rolling hills. Let your senses be lulled by the sweet perfumes of the fruit trees and herbs that grow about the gardens and let your morning strolls be guided by the birds. Between the activities of this retreat, you will have plenty of time to relinquish the daily rush of life by relaxing by the private pool, dozing under dappled shade of the trees, reading your favourite book on the terraces or playing a round of tennis as you bond with the other guests.
The Cuisine.
While you retreat at the Château de Cadrès, Aurore the in-house chef will be in charge of nourishing your bodies with delicous cuisine! She certainly likes to make the table as colourful as possible with the food made from scratch!
After your morning yoga practice, there will be a buffet breakfast awaiting you to nourish your body for the day ahead. Lunch will also be a buffet style and in the evening, you will have a 3-course dinner.
An Example Menu:
Buffet Breakfast: Smoothie Bowl, Fresh Juice, Fresh Bread, Local Jam’s, Nocciatella, Monteaco Tea, Coffee and Fruit juice.
Buffet Lunch:
Roasted Sweet Potato with double coriander & beetroot sauce, grilled hazelnuts & buckwheat, topped with dill and parsley.
Kale Salad with black rice, nectarine, feta and pomegranate
Banana bread with chocolate chips

Dinner:
Starter: Veggie Maki
Main: Cold Roasted Aubergine, with bell pepper sauce, cucumber, tomatoes, basil, cashew nuts, lactose-free cottage cheese & lime zest

You are more than welcome to hire a car, especially if you’d like to do some of your own sightseeing while you retreat. We can highly recommend Buggs Car Hire if you are flying to Bergerac airport.
We can also organise a transfer service from the Bergerac Airport which is 60€ per person & per trip. If you are arriving from Paris CDG or Bordeaux Airport, you can take the train to Agen or Penne Lot et Garonne and take a taxi.
